Tour de Cathares 2024

The tour the Cathars, Sentier Cathare or chemins de Cathares starts in Port-la-Nouvelle and ends in Foix. You can walk this tour in about 12 days. There are different overnight options. Hotels, chambre d’hotes, auberge, gite or camping.

Peter, Anita and Peter chose the Cathars in 2015 for the 2nd part of the tour. Together with Bergtoppers the following program was composed:

Tour de Cathares part 2

From Quillan to Foix, walked in 2015

• Day 1: arrival in Quilland and spend the night in a hotel based on Bed&Breakfast.
• Day 2: hike to Puivert and spend the night in the gite based on 1/2 board.
• Day 3: hike to Espezel and spend the night in the gite based on 1/2 board.
• Day 4: hike to Comus and spend the night in the gite based on 1/2 board.
• Day 5: hike to Montsegur and spend the night in the gite based on 1/2 board.
• Day 6: hike to Roquefixade and spend the night in the gite based on 1/2 board.
• Day 7: hike to Foix ansd spend the night in a hotel based on Bed&Breakfast.

Every day the luggage is being transported and we brought them from Foix to Quillan so they walked to their car.

The price for this program is about  1800 euros (3 people in 2015).

Would you do this program in 2024 the price would be around 1100 euros for 2 people.
Luggage transport would be about 500 euros.
