For hikers with or without a guide, there are certain possibilities to hike between 22nd of May and the 23rd of October (included).
It is also possible to hike outside the above period, however not all hikes can be done, because of the weather conditions (like snow).
Families are also welcome! A family will be charged for three persons, despite the number of children.
We have developed four different family programs:

The "Tour de Famille Visser" for children from 4 years
The "Tour de Famille Dreu" for children from 6 years
The "Tour de Famille Berk" for children from 8 years
and the "Tour de Famille Mul" for children from 10 years.

In principle all hikes are possible in this area. There are hikes of 1 too 1,5 hours with a minimum change of altitude, but there are also hikes that takes a whole day, which differ in altitude up to 1900 meters! Even more, when wished for.

You can walk with a small day-backpack and we will transfer your luggage, or you can hike with a tent for example five days and bring your own food and luggage… everything is possible.

A Combination of Self Lead and Guided

This year we organize 2 different hiking weeks.
A hiking week consists of a part where you determine which hikes you do (we can advice of course) and a part where you do guided hikes with a minimum of 5 persons.

Hiking week 1, "Etang d'Areng"
Hiking week 2, "Montgarri"

The first 2 till 3 days you do some hikes yourself with a detailed description, after that you do a 3-days guided hike with a little group (minimum 5, maximum 12)
The first days you can do from the Bergtoppers, where you stay at the camping or in the cabin of the Bergtoppers, or from a special mountain hotel towards the Spanish border. Of course both half board.
The last 3 days you spend the night in refuges (half board).

Day 1 Arrival at the Bergtoppers
Day 2 Circular tour (4 hours) and spend the night with Bergtoppers
Day 3 Climbing a hill (5 hours) and spend the night with Bergtoppers
Day 4 Restday and spend the night with Bergtoppers
Day 5 From Eylie to refuge etang d'araing (5 hours)
Day 6 From Refuge to Eylie (4 hours)
Day 7 Last hike from the Riberot to the Bergtoppers where you spend the night
Day 8 Leave to England or extend

Price : From 320 euro pp. when you stay at the camping

Hiking week 2 "Montgarri"

Day 1 Arrival at the cabin of the Bergtoppers
Day 2 Cirque d'Anglade (4 hours) and spend the night in the cabin
Day 3 Circular tour from col de Pause (5 hours) and spend the night in the cabin
Day 4 Restday and spend the night in the cabin
Day 5 From the Riberot to Estagnous (5 hours)
Day 6 From Estagnous to Montgarri (6 hours)
Day 7 From Montgarri to Salau and spend the night with the Bergtoppers
Day 8 Leave to England or extend

Price : From 350 euro per person when you stay in the cabin of the Bergtoppers

For both hiking weeks:
It includes a welcome drink, breakfast and dinner, guide and the transfers during the 3-days hike, but
it excludes travel from and to England, lunches a 6 euro during the 3-days hike and 8 euro during the hikes you do independently.

A combination of a mountain hotel and a 3-day hike

Day 1 Arrival at the mountain hotel in Salau.
Day 2 The Cirque d'A nglade (4 hrs) and spend the night in the hotel (1/2 board)
Day 3 Hike to Port de Salau aand back (7 hrs) and spend the night in the hotel (1/2 board)
Day 4 Resting day with the opportunity to go to Andorre, Lourdes or Carcassonne and spend the night at the Bergtoppers (1/2 board)
Day 5 Hike to refuge d'Estagnous (4 hrs).
Day 6 Hike to the Mont Valier and back to the Riberot, spend the nght in the gite (1/2 board)
Day 7 Hike to the Bergtoppers (7 hrs).
Day 8 Leave the Bergtoppers.

335 euro pp for 2 persons.

Five days of hiking, with an extra activity

You want to go on holiday with a group of four persons in the French Pyrenees or Spanish Pyrenees. You like to do beautiful hikes and you do not mind carrying you own backpack. You come by plane and we pick you up in Toulouse. You want to canyoning on your restday. This might be a good option.

Day 1 Pickup in Toulouse and arrival at the 'Bergtoppers'
Day 2 From the col the la core to a very nice mountain lake (5 hours)
Day 3 Second day from the Bergtoppers to Seix via Cos (5 hours)
Day 4 Rest day, CANYONING
Day 5 Hike from Cominac to Aulus (6 hours)
Day 6 Hike from Aulus to Bidous (5,5 hours)
Day 7 Hike from de Col naar de Riberot (6 hours)

Day 1, 2, 3, 4, and 7 you'll sleep at 'Bergtoppers'. Day 5 and 6 you'll sleep in a gite (cabin).

You can do the hikes with or without a guide. If you walk independently, you'll get a detailed description of the hikes.

This includes a bed in the cabin of the Bergtoppers, a welcome drink, breakfast and dinner and a pickup in Toulouse.
This excludes lunches a 7 euro pp. and coming from and going to England.

Traveling from England

You can come by bus, Eurolines from London to Toulouse form 80 pounds pp. return. You can also come by train from London to Toulouse but this is too expensive. You can come by plane from London to Toulouse from 160 pounds pp. return.

We can pick you up in Toulouse (100 euro per transfer), in Boussens (65 euro per transfer), and in St.Girons (30 euro per transfer). See also how to travel.
