GR10 week4 hiking and trekking in the Haut Pyrenees

From Bareges to Fos
This fourth GR10 week starts in the Haut Pyrenees and ends on the border between the Haut Garonne and the Ariege. The mountains are beautiful and wild and you reach the 2500 meters. This can be your highest GR10 point. It depends on what you did in week 3.
Highlights are the Col de Madamete and the way up to this col, the lakes in the park Neouville, and the city Luchon. col_dastou

Saturday September 4, You arrive in Luz Saint Sauveur where you spend the night in an auberge (half board).
You can fly with Ryanair from London to Pau. The price will be around 80 pound for a return.
You can also fly with Easyjet from London to Toulouse. The price will be around 65 euro for a return.
Pick-up by the Bergtopper Van in Pau and Toulouse.

Sunday September 5, You start hiking in Bareges after breakfast. The track is about 8 hours, 1300 meters difference in altitude and you end in a refuge at Lac de l'Oule where you spend the night based on half board.
Mondag September 6, You start hiking after breakfast. This day is about 6h25, 1400 meters difference in altitude and you end in Vielle Aure. From there the Bergtopper Van will bring you to a gite in Germ where you spend the night.
Tuesday September 7, After breakfast the Bergtopper Van will bring to to Vielle Aure where you start your hike. The track is about 5h30, 700 meters difference in altitude and you end in the gite in Germ where you spend the night.
Wednesday September 8, Today you start with a heavy climb. Maybe you hear today the sound of a beer.....
The track is about 8 hours and 1000 meters difference in altitude. Today you end in the refuge d'Espingo where you spend the night (half board).
Thursday September 9 Another beautiful day with a wonderful hike. The track is about 6h30, 300 meters ascending and 1600 meters descending. Today you end in a very nice hotel in Luchon (half board).
Friday September 10 Today you can explore Luchon because you only have to do a hike for 2-3 hours and going up for 600 meters. So you could have lunch in Luchon and then leave. You spend the night in gite d'Artigue.
Saturday September 11 Today your last stretch of week 4. Also a very long but nice and beautiful walk. So leave early because you need around 8h30, going up for 800 meters and going down for 1500 meters. You end in a gite in Fos where you spend the night.

luchon_bord Sunday September 12 The Bergtopper Van will bring you back to Pau, Toulouse or Luz Saint Sauveur after breakfast.
Ryanair flies from Pau to London.
Easyjet flies from Toulouse to London.

General
The lunch is not included with the price. The Bergtopper can take care for the lunch, for 7 euro a lunch. We sleep 4 times in a gite. If the Bergtopper takes care for the food, this is possible for 17 euros 50 a day (breakfast and dinner, including consumptions). Most of the time it is also possible to take half board in the gite. This will cost you about 25 euros (breakfast and dinner) and must be mentioned in advance. On the other hand, it is very cozy to prepare dinner together......
If the Bergtopper takes care for all the food (5 x lunch, 4 x breakfast and 4 x dinner), it will cost you and extra 95 euros.
In the refuges you can take a packed meal for 10 euros.
